Need a high capacity commercial agriculture dryer? Don’t want to wait for one to be built? Want to save money?! If you answered yes to all these questions we are about to make your day.
Last year we commissioned a custom engineered commercial agriculture dryer constructed with the highest grade parts in the market. It took a significant cash investment and over a year of engineering to get it delivered, installed and running. Soon after the machine was delivered and we began testing, we realized that there were additional engineering opportunities needed to get the machine to capacity. At the end of the day, the dryer, which is supposed to be able to dry 10,000-20,000 pounds an hour, is only capable of drying 1,500 pounds or less per hour. The original design deployed a bag house style dust collection system that proved inefficient at handling the dryer output, so we sold that component back to the manufacturer and began to look for new options that could be deployed quickly. This led us to the formation of Arbor Vita8 Dry and the acquisition of the Mobile Hemp Drying Company. With this acquisition, we can make room in our facility for additional extraction and fiber equipment and no longer need our stationary equipment.
This agriculture dryer is a beast – as you can see in the video – but it needs engineering tweaks and additional handling equipment to replace the bag house, address the output side of the dryer and get it to capacity. A very rough estimate of cost to get fully operational is approximately $250k-$350k in parts and engineering and another $60k in transportation and rigging.*
