After much hesitation, scientist Riley Kirk decided to create a TikTok account. It’s dedicated to, in her words, “our favorite medicinal plant, crannabis!” This came after much convincing from her friends, and thank the stars for them! Her term “crannabis” originated because of the rules and regulations of TikTok. It does not allow creators to use certain language in videos.
Riley’s Qualifications and Education
Riley is a trusted and qualified cannabis educator. She got her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. It was obtained at the University of New Hampshire. Immediately after graduation, she worked as an Associate Immunology Scientist. This was on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts. For graduate school, Riley attended the University of Rhode Island. She’s also currently pursuing her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Specialties
One of the fields Riley specializes in is medicinal chemistry. Another is pharmacognosy. This translates to natural products. She also works as a Teaching Assistant for a cannabis certification course. This is taught at the University of Rhode Island. In her free time, she also loves researching CBD. Riley will be defending her PhD dissertation in August of 2021!

Riley Dee:
My friends finally convinced me to make an entire account on Tik Tok to only talk about science, so no cats. On this account, we are going to really focus on the chemistry and pharmacology of our favorite medicinal plant crannabis. We’re also going to talk about some really interesting natural products. We’ll talk about some laboratory workflows that we use in natural products. We’re going to talk about some recent literature, and then I really want to learn from you guys about your experiences with crannabis, because I think there’s a lack of fundamental knowledge of how this plant affects people differently.
You can show your support for this account by liking, commenting, sharing, something, so we can get a network of people that love this plant to all connect on this app. In the next video, I will tell you my credentials, because I do think I’m qualified to talk about this and you should not believe everyone on the internet.
