Ray Mazzie, spends most of his time on matters concerning corporate development. This includes a focus on building partnerships with clients, industry advocates, and other parties found in the agricultural processing supply chain. Ray graduated from Florida State University with an MBA, a dual degree in economics and political science, and a JD. He’s also a licensed attorney in the state of Florida.
Ray was a member of the 13th class of Gubernatorial Fellows for the State of FL, serving under Governor Rick Scott. He has extensive experience working with legislators and government agencies via the FL Department of Business & Professional Regulation, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, and the Florida Lottery. Before entering the hemp space, Ray spent time advising corporate clients on business structuring and transactions, including real estate, asset & business dispositions, succession planning, and other secured transactions.
Ray has been very active in the hemp space for 3 years. This included serving as the head of Corporate Development for a successful startup. He spent this time forging relationships with governments (state and local), research universities across the US, and other actors along the entire cannabis supply chain. Ray moved on to co-found an agriculture drying company that focuses on servicing hemp farmers in the Southeast US. Ray brings a wealth of supply chain knowledge that’s allowed him, with the help of his cofounder Ryan Kelly, to understand and solve problems in the drying process.
