In this clip, Riley talks about how sleep patterns can be affected based on the cannabinoids you use. For example, if you’re a frequent THC user, you might not notice an impact during use. The same cannot be said, though, if you decide to take a break from it.
“About 70% of adult users (THC) found that they have trouble falling asleep or have incredibly vivid dreams when they stop using cannabis,” says Riley. And according to them, it isn’t a fleeting moment either. Some reported dealing with these issues for almost a month and a half before they returned to their regular sleep pattern.
CBN & CBD For Sleep
In contrast to THC, other cannabinoids have more positive effects on sleep. Take CBN, for example. It “offers relaxing, sleepy properties.” It also makes for a wonderful addition to your consumption method of choice. Baked goods, gummies, vapes, tinctures, and more are capable of harnessing its goodness.
CBD also has some pretty interesting effects when it comes to sleep patterns. “Research from 2014… found that CBD improved the symptoms of REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD)… [which makes] a person acts out their dreams. RBD is associated with poor sleep and nightmares.”
